BA in Health Arts and SciencesRowe Conference Center Affiliation
Goddard’s Health Arts & Sciences: Bridging Nature, Culture, and Healing program has a new affiliation with the Rowe Conference Center. This affiliation enables Goddard students to draw from weekend enrichment programs at Rowe as part of their study plans.
Here’s how the Affiliation Works Fully matriculated Health Arts and Sciences students may enhance their self-designed Goddard studies through embedding Rowe learning events into their study plans under the guidance of Health Arts advisors. They enroll in selected events at Rowe through direct contact with Rowe. Rowe learning events include: Non-Violent Communication; The Work of Transformation (with Deena Metzger); World as Lover, World as Self (with Joanna Macy); and more. After participating in Rowe sessions, students deepen these experiential studies through written reflection with their Goddard advisors, deepening the inquiry through continued and related readings, and innovative and practical applications.
Benefits of the Affiliation with Rowe and Fully Matriculated Health Arts and Sciences Students The affiliation provides Health Arts students with an opportunity to enhance their studies as a whole and build connections with other individuals and communities sharing similar interests. Goddard student and faculty alike who attended recent Rowe events appreciated the social connections, spiritual nurturance, and renewed personal and community vision.
Financial Aid When Goddard students anticipate building a Rowe learning activity as a resource into their study plan, they may request additional financial aid from Goddard’s Financial Aid office during the relevant semester to support funding the Rowe activity. This aid may be in the form of a Private Loan which would require a credit check and a co-signer. If students receive a refund from Goddard on their Federal loans, part of that funding can be used toward paying for the affiliated programs.
Rowe Conference Center Discount Rowe will provide a 15% discount to fully enrolled Goddard students who choose to participate in Rowe’s learning experiences as part of their studies. On occasion there may be some exception to discount availability. Students should inquire at the Rowe Center, 413-339-4954.
